Maintain Customer Orders - Class Diagram

As you perform design and analylsis you will begin to discover business objects that are needed to carry out system responsibilites defined in your use cases. A class diagram allows you to see the relationships between these business classes. The following simple class diagram shows the relationship between the classes in our Order System.

Notice there are Shipper and Employee business objects that we haven't seen yet. We didn't do a complete analysis and design of our system, but if we did we would have discovered the need for both a Shipper and Employee business object. The user can specify a Shipper and an Employee for each Order. Therefore we need to provide a Shipper business object so we can return a list of all Shippers from which the user can select. We also need to provide an Employee business object so we can return a list of all Employees from which the user can select.
