Step 18: Testing Business Rules

MM .NET automatically displays broken business rules in web forms. By default, if a particular user interface control has a broken rule associated with it, an error icon is automatically displayed next to the control.

To test the validation and display of business rules, run the web application, and edit an order. On the Order Edit page, clear the Name text box and then click Save. You should see the broken rule icon displayed on the web form. If you hover your mouse pointer over the icon it displays the associated error message. For example:
