Why does my Service not appear in the list of Services

If after installing your Windows Service on the target machine using a Visual Studio deployment package your Windows Service does not appear in the list of Services, check the following:

1. Right-click your deployment project and select Custom Actions from the shortcut menu.

2. Right-click the Install folder and select Add Custom Action... from the shortcut menu.

3. Double-click the Application Folder

4. Select the Primary Output (Active) from your Windows service, then click OK

5. Do this for the Commit, Rollback, and Uninstall folders
